Florian Skilang Temengil (born November 4, 1986) is aPalauanwrestler atNewman University inWichita,Kansas. Skilang competed in the2008 Summer Olympics inBeijing,China in thefreestyle wrestling. He lost his bout toOttó Aubéli of Hungary 0-6, 1-7. However, he managed to score the first ever point for Palauan Olympic wrestlers, since his countrymanJohn Tarkong Jr. had failed to score any points four years earlier, as would his countrymanElgin Loren Elwais in the Greco-Roman -55 kg category.[1]
He competed for Palau at the2016 Summer Olympics inRio de Janeiro in the 125 kg division. He was defeated byDaniel Ligeti ofHungary in the first round.[2] He was the flag bearer for Palau during theParade of Nations.[3]
