TheFlores–Lembata languages are a group of relatedAustronesian languages (geographicallyCentral–Eastern Malayo-Polynesian languages) spoken in theLesser Sundas, on easternFlores and small islands immediately east of Flores,Indonesia. They are suspected of having a non-Austronesiansubstratum, with extreme morphological simplification inSika and secondarily inAlorese, but not to a greater extent than theCentral Malayo-Polynesian languages in general.
