The white Flora is aCalifornia wine grape. It is acrossing ofSemillon andGewürztraminer, bothVitis vinifera varieties, and it was created in 1938 byHarold P. Olmo at theCalifornia Agricultural Experiment Station.[1][2]
The red Flora is an interspecific hybrid betweenV. vinifera andVitis labrusca, and it was created in 1850 byA. M. Spangler.[3]
