FixMyStreet is afree and open-sourcesoftware framework bymySociety which enables anyone to run awebsite for aggregating and reporting street problems, similar toFixMyStreet.com.
TheUnited Kingdom FixMyStreet inspired similar sites in other countries: in order to prevent the need for people to write code from scratch, mySociety refined the FixMyStreetopen source codebase, making it more generic, easier to install, and able to handle different maps, includingOpenStreetMap. This process was kickstarted when theNUUG funded the development of a Norwegian versionFiksGataMi.[2][3]
