Fir Mountain is amountain located inUlster County,New York. The mountain is part of theCatskill Mountains.Fir Mountain is flanked to the northwest byBig Indian Mountain, and to the southeast bySpruce Mountain.
The east side of Fir Mountain drains intoEsopus Creek, thence into theHudson River, and intoNew York Bay. The northwest end of Fir Mtn. drains into Elk Bushkill, thence into Esopus Creek.The west and south sides of Fir Mtn. drain into Biscuit Brook, thence into theWest Branch of theNeversink River, theDelaware River, and intoDelaware Bay.
Fir Mountain is within theBig Indian Wilderness of New York'sCatskill State Park.
