Ferrán Giner Peris (born 27 September 1988) is a Spanishfootballer who plays forCD Acero. Mainly aleft winger, he can also play as aforward or aleft-back.

Club career

Born inAlboraya,Valencian Community, Giner grew in the youth ranks of localValencia CF. He made his senior debut withAlboraya UD in 2007 in the regional leagues.[1]

Giner subsequently representedCD Castellón B,Burjassot CF,CD Olímpic de Xàtiva andUD Alzira in theTercera División.[2] He only made hisSegunda División B debut in 2013, while playing for Olímpic.[3]

On 25 June 2013, Giner signed a one-year deal withGimnàstic de Tarragona also of the third division.[4] On 10 July of the following year he renewed his contract for a further two years,[5] winning promotion toSegunda División at the end ofthe season.

Giner's first match as a professional took place on 23 August 2015 (one month shy of his 27th birthday), when he started in a 2–2 home draw againstAlbacete Balompié.[6] On 31 August 2017, he joined third-tier clubRCD Mallorca,[7] being sidelined for the remainder ofthe campaign after suffering a knee injury in November.[8]

Giner was given the medical clearance in June 2018,[9] after winning promotion. He managed only eight appearances subsequently (six as asubstitute, one goal againstReal Oviedo inthe second round of theCopa del Rey),[10] terminating his contract the following 28 January and moving toUD Ibiza shortly after.[11]

On 20 June 2019, Giner reached an agreement to sever his ties with Ibiza,[12] and returned toNàstic seven days later after agreeing to a two-year deal.[13] On 1 October 2020, he signed forOrihuela CF of the same league.[14]

Giner's father,Fernando, was also a footballer. Acentral defender, he was also developed at Valencia.[15]
