Fernando Teixeira Vitienes (born 28 July 1971), also referred to asTeixeira I, is a Spanish formerfootballreferee, affiliated to the Committee of Referees ofCantabria.[1]

Born inSantander on 28 July 1971,[2] he promoted toLa Liga in the2003–04 season.[1] He held the rank of international referee from 2009 to 2014.[1]

He refereed at2012–13 UEFA Europa League.

Demoted from the top tier of Spanish football along his brotherJosé Antonio Teixeira Vitienes [es],[1] he retired after the2014–15 La Liga season. His last game was atCampo de Fútbol de Vallecas, a 2–4 win ofReal Sociedad againstRayo Vallecano played on 23 May 2015.
