Fernando Rech (born March 13, 1974, inCaxias do Sul,Brazil) is a Brazilian formerfootballer. He played either as astriker or anattacking midfielder.[1]
He has retired from football, his last club beingAdelaide United in the AustralianHyundai A-League. He is known asFernando, which was the name he wore on the back of his shirt at Adelaide United (he had previously worn Rech on his shirt in Australia).[2]
In season 2001/02, while playing for theBrisbane Strikers in the now defunctNational Soccer League, he won theJohnny Warren Medal for player of the year.[3]
