Fenbutrazate (INN), also known asphenbutrazate (BAN), is apsychostimulant used as anappetite suppressant under the trade namesCafilon,Filon, andSabacid inEurope,Japan, andHong Kong.[1][2] It is aderivative ofphenmetrazine and may function as aprodrug due to its similarity tophendimetrazine.[3]
