Feliksas Kriaučiūnas (Americanized his name asPhil Krause; August 18, 1911 – October 28, 1977)[1] was aLithuanian Americanbasketball player and coach. He won two gold medals withLithuania national basketball team and silver medal withLithuania women's national basketball team.

Feliksas studied and played forUniversity of Notre Dame team, along with his brotherMoose Krause.[2] Later he moved toDePaul University and played for their university team.[2] In 1935, along with otherLithuanian Americans, he started teaching Lithuanians how to play basketball.[2] He was theLithuania men's national basketball teamplayer-coach and team captain duringEuroBasket 1937 andEuroBasket 1939.[3][2] As soon asWorld War II begun in 1939, Kriaučiūnas and his brother traveled back to the United States.[4][2] Kriaučiūnas played a total of 19 games, scoring 65 points.[2] He also was the head coach of theLithuania women's national basketball team during the first ever women's EuroBasket in1938 where Lithuania won silver medals.[2] He also firmly contributed in developing nowadays basketball inLithuania.[2]
