Domingo Germán Saiz Villegas (8 June 1912 – 24 April 1989), nicknamedFede, was a Spanishfootballer. The nickname origin was the name of a brother who died before he was born.
Born inMolledo,Cantabria, during his club career he played forDeportivo Alavés andSevilla FC, with a spell at each before theSpanish Civil War began, and another after it ended (he signed forReal Sociedad in 1932 but never made an official appearance for them).
He earned three caps for theSpain national football team in 1934, and took part in the1934 FIFA World Cup; he played in the 1–1 draw with hosts and eventual championsItaly, but not in the replay in which Spain were eliminated.
