Le Faubourg Saint-Laurent (French pronunciation:[ləfobuʁsɛ̃lɔʁɑ̃]) is aneighbourhood inMontreal,Quebec, Canada. It is situated in the borough ofVille-Marie. It developed as afaubourg east of theSaint-Laurent Boulevard (which led to the parish ofSaint-Laurent), north of thefortified city.[1] It is limited on the east bySaint Denis Street, on the south bySaint Antoine Street, on the West bySaint Laurent Boulevard, on the north byRené Lévesque Boulevard.[2] Today, the Urban Development Corporation of Faubourg Saint-Laurent is a non-profit organization that brings together retailers and institutions in the field of health, education and culture.[3]
