Fatima Al-Zahra'a Shbair is aPalestinianphotojournalist based inGaza City,Palestine. She won a Prix de la Ville de Perpignan Rémi Ochlik award byVisa pour l'image in 2021 and aWorld Press Photo award in 2022.[1]

Life and work

Shbair is a self-taught photographer born in Gaza in 1997.[2][3] She studied business administration atAl-Azhar University. Her work focuses on documenting thePalestinian - Israeli conflict in Gaza City. Shbair's work has been published by many international publications includingThe New York Times,[4]The Guardian,[5]Le Figaro,[6]L'Express[7]  andLe Temps.[8]
