Farajollah Mizani (Persian:فرجالله میزانی), also known by pseudonym andpen nameJavanshir[1] (Persian:جوانشیر,lit. 'young lion'), was an Iraniancommunist and a seniorTudeh Party member.
Mizani was born in 1925 inTabriz.[1] He studied engineering atUniversity of Tehran.[1] Years later he was graduated with a PhD in Persian literature from a Soviet university.[1]
Mizani joinedTudeh Party in 1945, while he was a university student.[1] In 1957, he fled to theSoviet Union and was exiled until 1979. While there, for some time he headed the party'sclandestine radio namedPeyk-e-Iran and studied at university.[1] AfterIranian Revolution, he returned to Iran[1] and was a member of the party'scentral committee.[2] In 1983, he was arrested bythe Islamic Republic government and put on trial.[3] He was among those who were killed during1988 executions of Iranian political prisoners.[1]
