Globe Pequot is a bookpublisher and distributor of outdoor recreation and leisure titles that publishes 500 new titles. Globe Pequot was acquired byMorris Communications in 1997.[1] Lyons Press was acquired in 2001.[2] It was sold toRowman & Littlefield in 2014.[3] After Rowman & Littlefield sold itsacademic publishing division toBloomsbury Publishing in 2024 and with it included its own name, the holding company changed its name to The Globe Pequot Publishing Group, took the name of Globe Pequot.[4][5]
Globe Pequot publishes several imprints, includingPrometheus Books,[6] Lyons Press, FalconGuides,[7] Knack, and Insiders' Guide.[1]
