TheFN 510 is apolymer framestriker-firedsemi-automatic pistol manufactured by FN America, a division ofFN Herstal. Based on theFN 509, It is chambered in10mm Auto featuringdouble-action operation and aPicatinny rail located forward of thetrigger guard.
The 510 was released in 2023 alongside theFN 545 (chambered in.45 ACP).[2]
The FN 510 is a striker-fired handgun with astainless steel slide withferritic nitrocarburizing finish and a polymer frame. Black andflat dark earth (FDE) colorings are available. Barrel length is 4.1 inches (100 mm) for the Standard Full Size (MRD) model & 4.71 inches (120 mm) for the Tactical model. Theslide has serrations on both front and back, for easy slide manipulation. There is a full-sizedgrip, housing 15-roundmagazines; 10-round magazines are available for states with ahigh-capacity magazine ban.
The backstrap of the grip accepts interchangeable inserts; one arched and one flat. Instead of a manual safety, the 510 includes anintegrated trigger safety (the articulated trigger type like theFN FNS) as part of its four passive safety systems: a striker block, adrop safety, atrigger disconnect and a trigger safety lever.[3]
Magazine releases andslide locks are present on both side of the gun.
