Fms-related tyrosine kinase 4, also known asFLT4, is aprotein which in humans is encoded by theFLT4gene.[5][6]
This gene encodes atyrosine kinase receptor forvascular endothelial growth factorsC andD. The protein is thought to be involved inlymphangiogenesis and maintenance of the lymphatic endothelium. Mutations in this gene cause hereditarylymphedema type IA.[5]
FLT4 has been shown tointeract withSHC1.[7][8][9]
