FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (FTMC) (simplified Chinese:一汽丰田汽车有限公司;traditional Chinese:一汽豐田汽車有限公司;pinyin:Yīqì fēngtián qìchē yǒuxiàn gōngsī),[1] previously named Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (TFTM) (Chinese:天津一汽丰田汽车有限公司), is anautomobile manufacturing company based inXiqing District,Tianjin, China.[2] It is a manufacturing and supervising affiliate of thejoint venture betweenToyota Motor Company andFirst Automotive Works, and commonly known asFAW Toyota (simplified Chinese:一汽丰田;traditional Chinese:一汽豐田;pinyin:Yīqì fēngtián).[3]

Created in 2003,[4] it is an equally owned joint venture withToyota. As of 2007, it has one passenger vehicle production base in theXiqing District ofTianjin[5] and two in theTianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone.[4] As of 2008, it continues to control three production bases and manufactures several Toyota products including theCorolla andVios. As of 2008, it had an annual production capacity of 470,000.[6] It had a subsidiary brand calledRanz, but it did not perform as well as other joint venture brands that were mushrooming in the 2010s. In 2022, the company was renamed from Tianjin FAW Toyota to FAW Toyota.[7]
