Fürstenberg-Taikowitz was a cadet branch of theprincelyHouse of Fürstenberg, originally fromSwabia in present-dayBaden-Württemberg, Germany. It emerged in 1759 as a partition of the AustrianFürstenberg-Weitra line.^[1]

Thelandgraves resided atTaikowitz Castle in southernMoravia, in the present-dayCzech Republic.
