Extra-amniotic administration is aroute of administration to the space between thefetal membranes andendometrium inside theuterus of apregnant woman.
It can be used to administer drugs affectinguterus motility, such asoxytocin andprostaglandins, e.g. inlabor induction ormedical abortion.[1]
