Express Airwaysd.o.o. was aSlovenianairline headquartered inMaribor and based atMaribor Airport[1] with aGerman branch,Express AirwaysGmbH, located inDüsseldorf.[2] It mainly operated seasonal leisure flights fromGermany toCroatia,Spain andItaly.[3]
Express Airways was founded in 1999, operatingFokker F27 Friendship,Short 360 andAirbus A300 aircraft configured as freighters on behalf ofFedEx.[1] In 2012, Express Airways also founded a flight training school in Slovenia.[1] Since then, the airline has also offered passenger flights. Panoramic flights overSlovenia are also available.
In March 2016, the Slovenian aviation authority revoked the airline's operations license.[4]
