Eve's pudding, also known asMother Eve's pudding, is a type of traditional Britishpudding made fromapples baked under aVictoria sponge cake mixture.[1] The name is a reference to the apple variety traditionally used (aneating apple) called Eve.[2] The pudding can be served withcustard,cream, orice cream. It is a version of Duke of Cumberland's pudding, named afterPrince William, Duke of Cumberland. The first known recipe is from 1824 and uses grated bread and gratedsuet.[3]
