Eucastor is an extinctgenus of beaver-groupedrodents.^[1]^[2]

Based on the available evidence of theforamina,Eucastor most likely is closely related toCastor, but not in its direct lineage.^[3]

It has two species, the typeEucastor (formerlyCastor)tortus, andE. malheurensis^[4]
