Etolorex is acentral nervous system (CNS)stimulant andanorectic drug belonging to thesubstituted amphetamine andphenethylaminechemical classes. Etolorex was derived fromphentermine, an amphetamine derivative in its own right frequently prescribed as aweight loss drug for the treatment of obesity with a positive side effect of CNS activation and energizing the patient.[1][2] Etolorex, for unknown reasons, was never marketed.[1]
