The10th constituency of Essonne is a French legislativeconstituency in theEssonne département
The 10th constituency ofEssonne was one of six additional seats created in 1988 to address the rising population in the department. It is a dense urban seat on the southern edge of theParis urban area around 15 miles (24 km) from the city centre.
The seat consistently supported theSocialist Party at every election from its creation in1988 until2017 , when it was won by the centristLREM party. It swung back left in 2022, when it was gained by the left-wingLFI party.
