The club was founded on July 22, 1985.[1] They won theCampeonato Baiano Second Level in 1993. The club competed in theCopa do Brasil in2000, when they were eliminated in the Second Round byCortiiba, and competed in theSérie C in2007, when they were eliminated in the First Stage of the competition.
Esporte Clube Poções play their home games atEstádio Heraldo Curvelo, nicknamedHeraldão.[1] The stadium has a maximum capacity of 8,000 people.[2]
