Espasol is a chewy and soft,cylinder-shapedFilipinorice cake. It is made from glutinousrice flour cooked incoconut milk and sweetenedcoconut strips and, afterwards, dusted or coated with toasted rice flour.[1][2]

Originating from the province ofLaguna, it is traditionally sold during the Christmas season.[3] Nowadays, espasol can be found on major thoroughfares, street stores, and bus stops in and near Laguna.[4] It can also be found in specialty stores andpasalubong centers in and near Laguna.[4][5]
