Erythini orErythinoi (Ancient Greek:Ἐρυθῖνοι), alsoErythrini orErythrinoi (Ἐρυθρῖνοι), was a coastal town inancient Paphlagonia, mentioned byHomer in theIliad as an ally ofTroy during theTrojan War.[1]Strabo fixed the position of the town upon two rocks, called, from their colour, Ἐρυθρῖνοι, 90stadia east ofAmastris, and 60 stadia north ofCromna.[2]Arrian writes that the Amastris is 60 stadia from the Erythini.[3]
Its site is located nearÇakraz,Asiatic Turkey.[4][5]
