Ernest orErnie Lepore (born November 20, 1950)[1] is anAmericanphilosopher andcognitive scientist and a professor ofphilosophy atRutgers University.
Lepore earned hisPh.D. from theUniversity of Minnesota in 1978, and began teaching at theUniversity of Notre Dame before joining the philosophy department atRutgers University in 1981, where he has taught ever since.[2]
He is well known for his work on thephilosophy of language andmind, sometimes in collaboration withJerry Fodor,Herman Cappelen andKirk Ludwig, as well as his work onphilosophical logic and the philosophy ofDonald Davidson.
