Erin Cummings (born July 19, 1977) is an American actress andonline film pundit. She has appeared in the television series,Charmed,Dante's Cove,The Bold and the Beautiful,Cold Case,Dollhouse,Spartacus: Blood and Sand, andDetroit 1-8-7.

Cummings was born in Texas.^[1] Her father was in the military, and Erin lived inSouth Korea,Nebraska, and various areas of Louisiana, later growing up inHuntsville, Texas. She graduated from Huntsville High School, and attendedKilgore College inKilgore, Texas, from 1995 to 1997 after auditioning and being selected for theKilgore College Rangerettes dance team. After Kilgore, Cummings attended theUniversity of North Texas, graduating with a degree injournalism. She also studiedShakespeare at theLondon Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.^[2][3]

Cummings portrayed Erin Ward inDetroit 1-8-7,^[4]: 255 Michelle in the television dramaDante's Cove.^[4] She has had minor roles in TV shows such asCharmed,Passions andStar Trek: Enterprise.^[5]

Cummings starred as Sura, the wife of Spartacus, in theStarz seriesSpartacus: Blood and Sand.^[6]Muscle & Fitness magazine featured Cummings in an article and pictorial for their February 2010 issue.^[7] In 2013 Erin portrayed Donna Adams in thePrimary Stages production ofHarbor.

Outside of acting, she regularly guests onTheJohn Campea Show as a pundit bringing her industry knowledge and experience to the show.^{[citation needed]} Cummings also produces her own podcastKappa Kappa Cancer: Your Guide to the Sorority You Never Wanted to Join focused on her journey as a cancer survivor.^{[citation needed]}

In November 2010, Cummings founded Mittens for Detroit, a community initiative that collects and distributes new gloves and mittens to children and adults in that city.^[1]

On September 9, 2016, shortly after marrying actorTom Degnan, Cummings announced that she had been diagnosed withinvasive ductal carcinoma—an aggressive form of breast cancer—and had begun treatment atUCLA.^[8] Cummings went through chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and was cancer-free as of 2019.^[9]
