Erick Portillo (born 5 October 2000) is a Mexico high jumper. He is a multiple time national champion.[1]

Career

He won gold in the high jump at the2019 Pan American U20 Athletics Championships inSan Jose, Costa Rica with a clearance of 2.18 metres.[2] He won bronze at the2019 NACAC U23 Champiosnhips.[3]

He won gold at the2021 Junior Pan American Games inCali, Colombia with a 2.21 metres clearance.[4]

In July 2024, he cleared 2.27 metres competing in Mexico and qualified for the Olympic Games.[5] He subsequently competed at the2024 Summer Olympics inParis.[6]

In September 2025, he competed at the2025 World Athletics Championships inTokyo, Japan.[7]

Personal life

He is fromCuauhtémoc, Chihuahua.[8] In 2021, he began tstudy for a degree in physiotherapy at theUniversidad del Valle de México, in Chihuahua.[9]
