Eric Kvello (born February 12, 1977) is an American retired professionalsoccer player.
Kvello grew up inHouston, Texas, where he played for the Houston Texans Soccer Club.[1] In college, he played forGeorgetown Hoyas in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998.[2] In February 1999, theHershey Wildcats selected Kvello in the second round of theUSL A-League.[3] TheMetroStars also selected him in the third round of the1999 MLS College Draft. Kvello signed with the MetroStars where he played two games. He was released midway through the season.[4] He then joined theHershey Wildcats for the remainder of the 1999 season and the first eleven games of the 2000 season.[5] He then finished the season with theConnecticut Wolves.[6] In October 2000, Kvello signed with theHarrisburg Heat of theNational Professional Soccer League.[7] In 2001, Kvello spent time with both the Wildcats and theReading Rage.[8][9] In 2002, Kvello played for theCarolina Dynamo.[10] In September 2002, the Heat traded Kvello,Steve Klein andBernie Lilavois to theCleveland Force in a complicated three-team trade deal.[11] Kvello later played for the amateur FC Lokomotiv in the Houston Football Association Championship Division.
