InGreek mythology,Erato (/ˈɛrət/;Ancient Greek: Ἐρατώ "desired" or "lovely") was adryad. She was the priestess andprophetess of the godPan, verses were attributed to her at an ancient oracle of the god, located atMegalopolis nearAcacesium.[1] Erato was married toArcas, the son ofZeus andCallisto, and bore him three sons,Azan,Apheidas, andElatus.[2]
