Equaesi

The Equaesi were one of the tribes acknowledged by the Romans for the construction of theRoman Bridge of Chaves (here seen on thePadrão dos Povos)

TheEquaesi were an ancientCeltic tribe ofGallaecia, who lived in the north of modernPortugal, between the provinces ofMinho andTrás-os-Montes, near the border of modernGalicia (Spain).
