Eqlid County (Persian :شهرستان اقلید ) is inFars province, Iran. Its capital is the city ofEqlid .[ 3]
After the 2006 National Census,Khosrow Shirin Rural District was separated from the county to joinAbadeh County .[ 4] The village of Eslamiyeh was elevated to the status of the city ofDezhkord ,[ 5] and the village ofHasanabad became a city as well.[ 6]
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 99,003 in 21,216 households.[ 7] The following census in 2011 counted 93,975 people in 25,048 households.[ 8] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 93,763 in 27,421 households.[ 2]
