Daniel Enrique "Cua cuá"Hormazábal Silva (January 6, 1931 – April 18, 1999) was a Chileanfootballer, born inSantiago, who played as aright winger forColo-Colo and theChile national football team.[1]
He played a significant role at the1955 and1956 editions of theCopa America where Chile would finish as runners-ups.[citation needed]
From 1969 to 1970, he managedColo-Colo[2][3] for 27 matches.[4] In 1976, he managedCoquimbo Unido in theChilean Segunda División along withJosé Sulantay as assistant.[5] In 1979 he managedSantiago Morning.[6]
His nickname,Cua Cua, was due to the price of the taxi to go home: forty cents ("Cuarenta centavos" in Spanish).[7]
