Swiftsure[Note 1] was agalleon of theEnglishNavy, launched in 1573. She was rebuilt in 1592.
In 1607 she was renamedSpeedwell,[1] when she was rebuilt for a second time atDeptford, now classed as amiddling ship.[1] She was wrecked nearVlissingen on 1 November 1624.[1]
