England Counties XV is a representativerugby union team, formed in 2002, open to English players who play in theCounty Championship and thethird tier (and below) of theEnglish rugby union system.[1] Players from thePremiership andRFU Championship are ineligible.[2][3]

2012 Tour of East Africa

The team touredEast Africa in early June 2012.[39] While there they played a match against theEast Africa rugby union team[40] which, though established in 1950 and having previously faced theBritish Lions (twice), theSpringboks,Wales and theBarbarians, was playing its first fixture in almost exactly 30 years The tour was designed to aid this region re-ignite its rugby heritage.
