Enestebol (INNTooltip International Nonproprietary Name), also known as4-hydroxy-17α-methyl-δ1-testosterone, as well as4,17β-dihydroxy-17α-methylandrosta-1,4-dien-3-one, is asynthetic andorally activeanabolic–androgenic steroid (AAS) and a17α-alkylatedderivative oftestosterone which was never marketed.[1] It is closely related tooxymesterone (4-hydroxy-17α-methyltestosterone), as well as tochlorodehydromethyltestosterone (4-chloro-17α-methyl-δ1-testosterone),methylclostebol (4-chloro-17α-methyltestosterone), andmetandienone (17α-methyl-δ1-testosterone).[1]
