Energy & Environmental Science, also known asEES, is a monthlypeer-reviewedscientific journal publishingoriginal (primary) research andreview articles. The journal covers agenda-setting work of an interdisciplinary nature relating to energy science.[1]Energy & Environmental Science is published by theRoyal Society of Chemistry.

In 2022, the Royal Society of Chemistry launched its first companion journalEES Catalysis, followed by two further new companion journalsEES Batteries andEES Solar in 2024. WithEnergy & Environmental Science as the flagship family journal, these four journals now make up the EES Family.
