Emmanuel Atukwei Clottey (born 30 August 1987) is aGhanaian professionalfootballer, who currently plays forAccra Great Olympics F.C. and theGhana national team.
Clottey began his career with Brazil Academy and then later joined Mighty Victory Sporting Club, before signing withGreat Olympics in 2004.[1]
In 2007, Clottey was top goal scorer of theGhana Premier League and moved in January on a 6-month loan toAustrian Football Bundesliga clubFC Wacker Innsbruck, his first club in Europe.[2] Clottey then joinedOB on loan[3] and made his debut as asubstitute againstFC Amager in theEkstra bladet cup. He later returned toGreat Olympics in January 2009 then again signed a contract on 9 April 2009 withEleven Wise.[4] In June 2010, Clottey joinedBerekum Chelsea.
On 12 September 2012, after impressing in the2012 CAF Champions League,Tunisian clubEspérance de Tunis reached a deal withBerekum Chelsea to sign Clottey to a three-year contract, for an estimated transfer fee of $1.5 million.[5]
On 18 June 2013, Clottey agreed a one-year loan move to theUAE Arabian Gulf League teamAl Dhafra from Espérance.[6] In January 2015, Clottey joinedAsante Kotoko.
