Town of ancient Ionia

Embatum orEmbaton (Ancient Greek:τὸ Ἔμβατον) was a town ofancient Ionia, in the territory ofErythrae, mentioned byTheopompus in the eighth book of hisHellenica.[1] It appears fromThucydides that it was on the coast.[2]

Its site is located near the modernAgrilya,Asiatic Turkey.[3][4]
