Ely and East Cambridgeshire is aconstituency of theHouse of Commons in theUK Parliament.[2] It has been represented since its creation in 2024 byCharlotte Cane of theLiberal Democrats.
The constituency was created by the2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and was first contested at the2024 general election. It is composed of the following:
The bulk of the electorate, including the city ofEly and the town ofSoham, was derived from about two-thirds of the abolished constituency ofSouth East Cambridgeshire, with the addition of areas fromNorth East Cambridgeshire (Littleport,Sutton-in-the-Isle and Downham Villages) andSouth Cambridgeshire (Cottenham).
