Elva Dryer (née Martinez; born September 26, 1971, inDurango, Colorado) is an American long-distance runner who competed mostly in the5000 and10,000 meters, before turning toroad running.[1] She represented the United States at the2000 and2004 Summer Olympics.[2]

Dryer went to college atWestern Colorado University where she won seven NCAA DII individual national championships and one NAIA national team championship in cross country. She and fellow alumnaeNicole Aish have trained together inColorado.
