Elon (Hebrew:אֵילֹןʼĒlōn, "oak") was aleader (judge) of theancient Israelites according to the biblicalBook of Judges.
Elon appears inJudges 12:11–12.[1] He was a member of theTribe of Zebulun who served as a judge of Israel for ten years. He was preceded byIbzan and succeeded byAbdon.[2][3][4][5] Elon, along with Tola, Yair, Ibzan, and Abdon are only briefly mentioned and may be the names of clans.[2]
Elon is translated as "Ahialon" in theDouay–Rheims Bible and other translations.
