Charles Elmer Collett (/ˈkɔːlɛt/KAWL-eht;[1] born 1944) is an American former professionalfootball player who was aguard for 11 seasons in theNational Football League (NFL) for theSan Francisco 49ers and theBaltimore Colts.
After his playing career, he became afirefighter. He is owner of a gold mining claim in the Sierra foothills on the Middle Fork of the Yuba River. He resides inStinson Beach, California. Elmer and wife, Lisa Blackburn of Sunnyvale CA, were married in 1980. They have two sons.
He played as a guard in football and as a fire fighter in Kentfield, California. He is retired.
