Elisha Bruce Sam (born 31 March 1997) is a Belgian professionalfootballer who plays as aforward for Cypriot clubEnosis Neon Paralimni.[1]
Elisha made hisIsraeli Premier League debut forHapoel Acre on 20 August 2017 in a game againstBnei Sakhnin as a 71st-minute substitute forFejsal Mulić.[2]
On 31 August 2018, he moved to the Netherlands, signing a one-year contract withFC Eindhoven, with the club holding a one-year extension option.[3]
On 26 June 2019, he signed a contract with the newly promoted to theBulgarian First League teamArda Kardzhali.[4] On 27 July, he scored two goals in a 3–1 home victory overBeroe, contributing to the historic first win for the team fromKardzhali in the top division of Bulgarian football.[5]
On 31 August 2020, he signed for EnglishNational League sideNotts County.[6] Sam scored his first goal for the club in a 1–1 draw atHalifax Town on 17 November 2020, before scoring again againstWealdstone in a 3–0 win 10 days later. On 27 February 2021, Sam scored a stunning back-heel volley in the club'sFA Trophy quarter-final win overOxford City, with many pundits already calling it thePuskás Award winner for the year.[7][8] Sam was awarded the National League Player of the Month award for February 2022, scoring four goals across the month.[9] On 1 June 2022, Sam had his contract terminated by mutual consent.[10]
On 23 June, Elisha signed a contract with the Belgian teamPatro Eisden Maasmechelen, which plays in theBelgian National Division 1.[11]
His two-year younger brotherEphraim Sam played in the youth ofK.A.A. Gent,Merksemse Vlug Vooruit andLierse S.K., as well as senior byOlympic Pirates Deurne Borgerhout andKVC Oostmalle Sport.[12] Their father hails fromGhana, while their mother is fromBelgium.[13]
