Elder Island is an irregularly shaped island located at the eastern opening of theFury and Hecla Strait. Situated inNunavut'sQikiqtaaluk Region within thenorthern CanadianArctic, the island is north of theMelville Peninsula andOrmonde Island. It is approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) south ofBaffin Island (separated byAdolf Jensen Sound), while theFoxe Basin is to the east.
