Ehirava fluviatilis, or theMalabar sprat,[2] is a species of fishendemic to the rivers and coastallagoons andestuaries of southern India and Sri Lanka.[1] It is the only recognized species in the genusEhirava.[3] It grows to 5 cm (2.0 in)standard length.[2]
