Egremont is ahamlet incentral Alberta, Canada withinThorhild County.[2] It is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north ofHighway 28, approximately 37 kilometres (23 mi) north ofFort Saskatchewan. It is named afterEgremont, Cumbria.[3]

With a land area of 0.19 km2 (0.073 sq mi), it had a population density of242.1/km2 (627.0/sq mi) in 2021.[1]

As a designated place in the2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Egremont had a population of 48 living in 27 of its 34 total private dwellings, a change of14.3% from its 2011 population of 42. With a land area of 0.19 km2 (0.073 sq mi), it had a population density of252.6/km2 (654.3/sq mi) in 2016.[13]
